Brokers, did you know that every new agent you add to your firm that does not join a REALTOR Association costs you money?   As a REALTOR member of RAMB and the responsible member of your firm you have pledged to abide by the bylaws, rules and regulations set forth by RAMB. According to the bylaws, any new licensee must apply for membership within 30 days and remit payment.  Otherwise you will be assessed fees for each licensee who is with your firm and has not joined.  RAMB periodically does an audit of all active firms to check for compliance.   If your firm is found to be out of compliance, you will be notified of the agent’s standings with RAMB and the amount of the assessment.  So if you are unsure if all of your agents are members of an association, check their status with FAR.  If you find that they are not members, you can avoid any assessment fees by having the licensee submit an application and payment for membership.
