RSS? What is it ?!?

I'm not ashamed to say that when I first heard what RSS stood for I said to myself; "NOW that's really simple!" I'm now happy to report that it stands to reason, that RSS, is and of itself the future of how we will access the information we want, while sifting out that other "stuff" we really couldn't be bothered about. Sounds pretty good doesn't it!

As a Boomer, those of us born between 1946 and 1964 ~ we often feel like dinosaurs in today's hi-tech world, at lease I do, do you? When a kind techie spoke the words which RSS stood for it was instantly explained to me I felt relived that it wasn't more

complicated as I had expected it to be. If you're are at all like me and the Baby Boomer portion of the 1.3 Billion internet users you may have thought that RSS was Really Something Stupid - when in actuality it was a very simple and succinct way to get what you want and discard the rest.  As a fun way to relieve the tension about feeling dumb when it comes to the new-fangled stuff, I have included a poll in today’s blog to ask you, even if you already knew, what your initial RSS idea may have been before you knew.Over the coming days, I will walk through the process of becoming RSS Savvy, and all we Retro, Seniors and Simpletons can all give each other an "leg up” the ladder of technology, together. I look forward to your comments and insights as we all benefit when we try to explain the almost unexplainable to each other.
