Spanish and French Buyers Interested & South Florida Real Estate
April 20, 2008 by Deborah Boza-Va... commentJust last week at SIMA08, Madrid (Spain) Real Estate Expo, and Salon de l’Immobilier – Porte de Versailles, RAMB conducted exhibits, seminars, interviews and meetings promoting the South Florida real estate market for serious and qualified European buyers.
Miami and South Florida were naturally huge draws for the crowds of French and Spanish visitors at both of these premier events. European buyers benefit our market by sustaining rates of appreciation and strengthening the local economy. RAMB takes advantage of South Florida’s unique marketplace and RAMB’s valuable international partnerships to position local real estate at the forefront of international expansion.
Live from SIMA08
At SIMA08, the largest second homes show in the world, RAMB presented its international recording studio, featuring interviews with representatives of international partner associations and organizations. This also attracted record numbers of visitors to the RAMB booth. Videotaping and editing was provided by Vidlisting, a RAMB partner.
Former NAR Chief Economist John Tucillo, who was a featured speaker at SIMA, had positive news about the South Florida real estate market:
- The local residential market should level off by the end of 2008 or before.
- The market should be similar to 2003 or 2004 by 2010 or 2011.
- The movement of people in Florida is a major factor for increased growth in the future, as employment and population are major drivers of housing.
- The median sales price housing market should strengthen sooner.
- Commercial real estate is fundamentally sound and should not see a downturn.
Other interviews included Mitch Creekmore, Stewart International, João Batista; Secovi-SP, RAMB’s first partner association; and Cormac Meehan, ICREA Chairman. Representatives from partner associations in Uruguay, Belgium, and Finland were also interviewed. To view interviews or get more information, visit http://Blog.Miamire.com.
Paris BuyersRAMB exhibited and presented seminars at Salon de l’Immobilier in Paris for the third consecutive year, courtesy of one of our most recent partner associations, FNAIM Paris – Ile de France. This year’s show was especially positive with many more serious buyers interested in Miami and South Florida properties. RAMB presented a seminar to a standing room only audience, providing an excellent opportunity to inform buyers on the market and highlight the important opportunities now available for all buyers.
